You’ve probably been hearing A LOT about monkeypox on the news lately, and unfortunately, the way the media is talking about it is straight up misleading, bonkers and bananas (B-A-N-A-N-A-S)!

All dad (and Gwen Stefani) jokes aside, there’s a lot you aren’t being told about the virus. The news media has a lot of people believing that it’s only affecting specific parts of the population, when in fact, a lot of people can get it.

So in today’s episode, we’re separating facts from fuckery as we unpack the case of monkeypox. 

Sometimes the media sucks. They are really great at raising a lot of red flags and scaring everyone, but nowhere are we getting concise information that isn’t getting our sphincters in a huge twist. -Heather Bartos
